Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff is a former psychiatrist who founded the
Addiction Outreach Clinic (AOC) in 2007 when he switched his career to
addictionology. AOC is an outpatient clinic practice that specializes in
treating opioid addiction. It has grown to seven locations in Ohio and
Pennsylvania since it launched over a decade ago, and it has a positive
reputation for providing a comfortable and safe environment with caring
professionals to ensure the best outcomes possible for patients.
When Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff founded AOC, it was in direct
response to the rising opioid addiction epidemic caused by both heroin and pain
medications. The epidemic was and still is growing in the United States, and
more personally for Dr. Atanasoff, in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.
He wanted to
answer the need for a results-driven treatment approach that was realistic for
patients. This meant not interfering with lifestyle, work commitments and other
responsibilities while still providing a way for patients to successfully
reclaim their lives in the face of opioid addiction. Today, his methods are
still doing just that, and he isn’t slowing down any time soon.
