Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff
is a former psychiatrist who founded his private practice, the Addiction
Outreach Clinic (AOC), in 2007. Today, his practice has expanded to eight
locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and he hopes to continue expanding to help
even more people. Alongside his team, he has helped several thousand patients
recover from opioid addiction, so they can take back their lives as easily as
possible.
When Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff founded AOC, he
began prescribing a relatively new drug at the time known as called Suboxone®.
The drug is a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone, both of which are
proven to help reduce and/or prevent opioid cravings and withdrawals in
addicted patients. Each patient receives prescribed Buprenorphine/Naloxone
medication along with a required monthly visit. During the visit, the patient
receives a medical assessment, a urine drug screen and a behavioral counseling
session to support their road to recovery. Learn more at www.addictionoc.com.
