Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff: Medication-Assisted Recovery

Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff founded the Addiction Outreach Clinic (AOC) in 2007 and has since grown the practice to eight locations in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. He’s a seasoned addictionologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and he’s passionate about making a difference in the midst of the country’s opioid epidemic. The treatment programs provided by his clinic include the medications buprenorphine and naloxone (Suboxone®) to assist with recovery and prevent cravings. When combined with a required monthly behavioral counseling session in an outpatient clinic setting, patients are better able to focus on their recovery and report excellent results.

Much of Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff’s expansion and success is based on the recommendations by former patients, and he hopes to continue expanding AOC’s reach to help even more people. Each member of the team is trained in the proven methods that help patients return to their lives faster than they could with traditional opioid addiction treatment methods.
